Ice Palace for 12000 spectators, Almaty (Kazakhstan)

AVK GmbH concluded a contract for supply of refereeing and timing system produced by SWISS TIMING (Switzerland) for the new Ice Palace for 12 000 spectators that is being built now for the 28th Winter Universiade 2017 in Almaty (Kazakhstan).
The supply includes refereeing and timing systems for the following sports:
- hockey
- figure skating
- short track.
The Ice Palace is the biggest sporting venue of the Winter Universiade 2017. There will be two arenas: the main arena for 12 000 seats and the small arena for 475 seats. There will be the halls for boxing, wrestling, table tennis, choreography, acrobatics, two fitness facilities, a treatment and rehabilitation center and others in the small arena.
The Winter Universiade 2017 is the 28th Winter Universiade that will take place in the Kazakhstani city Almaty from 29 January till 8 February 2017.
